For the second year I have decided to donate to Mountain Lake PBS through the Arts Auction.  The Arts Auction is a way for artists and their supporters to encourage public television and it's programming.  It's a juried event where many hundreds of works are sent in to undergo the strict selection process.  This year I chose to donate two of my bears.  You can visit Mountain Lake PBS' site for more information at www.mountainlake.org. 

The bears will be showcased at the McCord Museum, in Montreal, Quebec between March 14th and 18th, 2001 and at the Plattsburgh State University Art Museum, Burke Gallery, Myers Fine Arts Building, between April 7th and 15th, 2001.

Faith is the first to be presented and auctioned on Thursday April 26th, 2001.  The bear donated is No. 1 of an open edition.  For more information on Faith, click here.

Update ! Faith sold for $200 US.

Carmen is the second to be presented and auctioned on Saturday April 28, 2001.  The bear donated is No. 1 of a limited edition of 5.  However, since her face was hand sculpted, she can't really be reproduced.  For more information on Carmen, click here.

Material, patterns and accessories will soon be available for order !   So you can make your very own bear !
